Story Time with Dr. Seus

Today Tiffany and I took the girls to the library for a Dr. Seus story time. They read and acted out Dr. Seus books then had a cute activity for all the kids to do after. Sydney and Avery loved it but probably their favorite part was after when most of the kids left and they just went around got all of these books and sat and pretend to read. It was so cute. I think we will definitely take them back to the library.

Bella's Baby Shower

Over the weekend my dear friend Tiffany threw me a baby shower for Bella. It was so sweet and nice of her to do that ( especially since this is my 2nd girl). It was small but wonderful shower that I had. The food was great.... parfaits and brownies... yummy. Bella got some really cute stuff and I can not wait until she get's here. Sydney had a blast and was just so excited to be going to a "party" even though it was not for her. It was a great day and thanks to Tiffany it was even a better day. Thanks Tiffany, you are great friend.

A new Baby girl

So one of the best parts of this pregnancy is that my sister and I were pregnant at the same time. Well, she is actually 4weeks ahead, but still that is close. Anyways, she just had her little girl today. Welcome to the world Kirsten Elizabeth weighing at 9 lbs even and 20 1/2 inches long. May I add that my sister had her at 38 weeks or 2 weeks early and Kirsten was still 9 lbs... wow. We are so excited to have little Kirsten in our family. Congrat's Tara and David and we can not wait till we get to see her. We love you guys

Sydney's Dance Class

This week I took Sydney to a "Creative Movement Dance Class" for toddlers. I was unsure how she would do at first but after the first 5 min. she was great. She loved the class and I think I will definitely try to take her back again. I love all these little toddler classes that they do now. I think they are awesome and help little kids in so many different ways. It was so much fun seeing her dance, move and jump. But most of all I was happy to see her having a good time.

Not quite sure on what is going on

Time to move and run... go Sydney

I have no idea what kind of smile this is

Jumping through the hula hoops... she loved this the most

Dancing with the pretty ribbons

A great big smile at the end of class.... yeah!!!

Taking it easy....

So last week I had a really busy day, going to my doctors appointment, help make curtains and a whole bunch of stuff. That night I started to get some Braxton hicks ( fake contractions for those who don't know) and low and behold I had 9 Braxton hicks in 30 min. That is not good, so I called my doctor just like I was suppose to and basically they told me I have to take it easy from now on. Is that even possible with a 2 year old? So I have limited myself to do 1 busy task a day. This may sound easy for some, however, I am having the hardest time with it. It seems like as soon as I sit down to rest my mind comes up with more things for me to do. So frustrating. I feel the worst for Sydney, I am trying to give her as much of my attention and love as possible before Baby Bella comes but a 2 year old does not understand "taking it easy" to well. I have come up with a couple of games that I can do sitting down and we read lots of stories. Anyways, I am getting better and besides that everything is going great with the pregnancy.

At my last ultrasound ( yes, I still get them weekly from now on) they told me that Bella's weight was 4 lbs 8 oz. I about had a heart attack. She is going to be huge is what I told the lady and she predicted that if Bella continues to grow at the pace she is, she will be about 7- 7 1/2 lbs. I know that is average for babies but when your last child was 5 lbs 11 oz, 7 lbs seems huge. But I guess only time will tell. We are just glad that she is a growing healthy baby girl.

Hide and Go Seek

So one of Sydney's favorite things to do right now is play hide and go seek. I love how her little brain works.... "Maybe if mommy can't see my face she can't see me at all". It is so funny and literally she could do this all day. Can you spot Sydney where she is hiding? We love you baby girl.

Lost

So Quinton and I have a confession. We have heard from so many people that the series "LOST" is really good and addicting. So we decided to try it out ourselves, we started from the very begging renting from blockbuster. Let me tell you, this is the way to watch a series, no commercials, and you do not have to wait a week for a new episode. Needless to say we are halfway through the 5th season. As soon as we get Sydney down for the night, it is like we can not wait to get it started. Quinton says it is like a movie that never ends. My point is that we LOVE LOST and can not wait until the Final season comes out on DVD. Anyone know how long that actually does take?

Daddy- Daughter Time

Quinton was playing one of his guitars the other night so Sydney thought she would play along with daddy. She thought she was so cool playing with him. It was so cute, they just sat there for a while and played their guitars together. What a fun daddy-daughter activity. Keep rocking out Baby girl!!!

Valentines day

Happy Valentines day to you all!!! I love Valentines day ( well at lease since I have been married), it is so much fun and we loved sharing it with Sydney. Last night Quinton took me out to dinner then we thought since we are probably the only people who have not seen Avatar that we probably should see it. It was really good, however, Bella probably would not agree with you. She would not stay still and was restless through most of the movie ( I think she thought it was too loud). Today we had pink heart pancakes, Sydney loved them and thought they looked like cookies. Then we spent the rest of the day as a family. It was a great day and we can not wait until we can spend it with Bella next year. Hope everyone had a great Valentines day as well.

Sorry about the cheesy smile on Sydney, I can not get her to smile pretty
Yummy heart pancakes
Even on Valentines Day Sydney still does her "mean eyes"

32 weeks

Here is my 32 week belly. I no longer get asked the question "how far along are you?'' but are now getting     "so, how much longer do you have?".  Nice huh. Everything is going great. She is growing at a perfect rate (she is just a little small, which is fine with me). She still has not turned so her head is in my ribs and she has positioned her body to the way that she is across my tummy and not up and down. If any of that made sense. I am still concerned that she is going to be breach but my doctor says I still have time before we discuss my options. We just can not wait until we get to see our little baby girl Bella.

Bowling for Toddlers

My friend Tiffany and I belong to this playgroup up here and our activity this week was bowling. Who would of thought that 2 year olds can have so much fun bowling? They even had little shoes for them... so cute. But the girls had a blast pushing the bowling balls  ( with the mommy's help) and everything. We were actually surprised that their attention span lasted till the 8th frame. Both Sydney and Avery did pretty well, they both bowled in the 60's. I mean, considering they are 2 1/2 years old ... not bad. Toward the end they were done and they just wanted to " drive their cars" as they put it. Some video game they had there at the alley. But this is an activity that we all will definitely do again. Good job girls!!!!
All smiles when we finally got there.

They loved watching the balls coming back up.. amazing

It took a while for the ball to get down the alley

Sydney and her glare.. who know's why she was making it

Avery was all smiles
