Fishing with Papa

Over the weekend Quinton and I took Sydney fishing with his dad rick. This was Sydney's very first time fishing and O my gosh she went crazy. She loved it so much and even caught a fish. Which she properly named him Fin the fish. I guess her little song she was singing to the fish really worked " here fishy fishy fishy". She also helped everyone net the fish and walked around with the net the entire time.

Durango

Over Memorial weekend Quinton and I always go to Durango, Co with his family to support his dad. Rick (quinton's dad) is a major cyclist and nothing can stop this guy. Even after a huge car crash that he had last year, he still jumped right into it. What made it even better is that Colter and his wife Holly( Quinton's brother and wife) were able to come over from Utah as well. It was a blast to see them again and we miss them so much. Sydney loved the hotel we were staying in because it is a bi-level suit so "her bedroom" as she called it was upstairs. There was a train that went by twice a day. She LOVED it. It was a weekend full of fun, good food, cycling and family. Could anything get any better?

Blessing Dress

So Bella is going to be blessed this Sunday... yeah. I am so excited. We are going to have both of our families there and then have a great lunch afterwards. Anyways, so I decided that Bella needed some pictures done in her blessing dress. She looks so beautiful. There is a tradition in our family that my dad buys each of the grandchildren their blessing outfit. And if I do say so myself, he did a pretty good job with Bella's dress.

Playing dress up

So Sydney is now into playing dress up. I love it. What a great way to use your imagination. Over the weekend I went to a city wide garage sale and found tons of clothes for her. Everyday she is wearing something different. Her Best friend Avery came over yesterday and they had a blast dressing up like princesses. Man, I love little girls.

The girls update

The girls are doing wonderful. Sydney is as great as ever and is growing like a weed. She now weighs 31.5 lbs, and wears 3T-4T clothes. Everywhere we go everyone always asks if she is 3 or 4. I always get weird looks when I tell them she is a little over 2 1/2 years old. She is an amazing big sister and loves Bella so much ( sometimes too much). We are working on potty training now that I am no longer stressed out about Bella. That is coming along pretty good.

Bella is doing amazing since being on the formula. She is growing so much and sadly to say she no longer looks like a newborn anymore...... so sad. She just had her 2 month check up and here are her stats
   22.5 inches long ( 53%)
   9 lb 14 oz ( 24%)
  15.28 inches ( 50%) ( head circumference)

She is starting to smile all the time and now you can see her cute dimples. She still is only waking up once a night, goes to bed between 10:30 - 11 pm, wakes up around 3-4 am then wakes up around 7 am. She is a very content baby and loves Sydney. She will always stop crying if Sydney starts singing to her... too cute huh. She has blue eyes and dark brown hair. I think Bella looks more like my side of the family and Sydney is more Quinton's side of the family. Bella LOVES to cuddle and if I let her she would just stay cuddled on my chest all day.

I have my baby back

So we now know what was the matter with our little Bella. After doing that special diet for a week there was still no change in Bella . So after going to the hospital and doing a Barium Enema and going back up to denver ( the 2nd time in a week) we found out that Bella is allergic to the milk protein in breast milk. So now she is on this expensive hypoallergenic formula that is $28 a can. You always hear that breast milk is the healthiest for babies. So here I have this healthy baby girl, who is an amazing nurser and she is allergic to my milk!!! Seriously!!! After having my meltdown of having to stop nursing her I am better about it now. Quinton and I saw a huge difference in her within just 2 feedings, so I really don't have room to complain. My little girl is a happy, content, smiling little girl. I have my baby back. I knew that something was wrong with her. I knew that her fussing and crying was not colic ( however, many of her doctors suggested that and I quickly said no). I know my baby and she does not have colic. She is crying for a reason. So now she can go poo all by herself now ( yeah!!!) and is so happy now. We are still working on her spit up and acid reflux but the formula has helped some for this. I just love having my baby back happy and healthy.

So we went from this
To this....
                                                        Pure bliss....

Catching up

So a couple of weeks ago Quinton had to go out of town for some training for American Clay. So I thought it would be fun to stay with my parents while he was away. Sydney loves to stay there, mainly because they have sidewalks and she can ride "her bike" all around the neighborhood. It was also a major help because at the time I did not know what was Bella's problem so she was still really fussy. So having 2 extra set of hands to help me with her was wonderful. This is how I found my dad and Bella many times. He LOVES to  hold babies.

I love this picture of me and Sydney. Even though she is doing her cheesy smile.
