My sweet little girl

One of my favorite things about Sydney is her adorable laugh ( I think that most parents would agree in saying that their kids laugh is the best sound in the world). However, Sydney's laugh can make any day a better day. One particular day she was extra giggly, so naturally I had to take a video. I hope you all enjoy this video of our little girl. Happy Holiday's

It's my Birthday!!!

Yep, you all read that right. Yesterday was my 26th Birthday. My O my how has time flown by. For my Birthday present Quinton took me to see the Transiberian Orchrestra ( actually it was my 4th time seeing them. I love them!!!). Then on my actual birthday Quinton and I went out to a nice restaurant and saw a movie. It was wonderful just to have time to ourselves, even though Sydney was dearly missed. It was such a wonderful night that I got to spend with my wonderful husband who I love so much. Thanks Quinton, you are the best.

Sweet Carolina...

As some of you know Quinton is very modest about how good of a guitar player he is. He is so awesome and he really does not like me to put video's of him playing for some reason. However, I am very proud of my husband and all of his accomplishments. So here is a video of Quinton playing with his friend Brian, they are play the song "Sweet Carolina" by Ryan Adams. It is one of my favorite songs that he plays. Here is a little tid bit... hope you all enjoy it.

Orange things and What's that?

So our little girl is now 14 months old. She is no longer a baby but turning into a little girl. Her favorite thing to say right now is "What's that?". And she Say's it all day everyday to everything. I do have to say it is cute however, after hearing like the 200Th "what's that" it can get a little old. Here is a sample of a conversation that we have with Sydney countless times a day
Sydney- What's that?
Mom/Dad- the tree
Sydney- Wow...
I love how she says wow after we tell her what it is. And for those people that have noticed that Sydney has sorta of a orange glow about her, you are not miss taken. She already has beautiful olive colored skin, however, since she loves carrots, squash ( orange things) and have eaten them so much for so long. Her skin is orange. The really funny thing is that my mom also has orange skin because she juices carrots every morning. We are just a orange family. The orange is not harmful in anyway for those who where wondering, and it will eventually fade away. But our little girl is growing and developing everyday. She loves puppies and now is not afraid of them and will pet them and tell them to sit. It is so cute. Sydney is the joy in our lives, she truly is such a happy little girl.

Happy Thanksgiving

We all hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving... we did. This year Quinton and I went to his parents house for Thanksgiving. It was a great time that we all had, for the first time I made stuffing ( well Stove top with cranberries, apples and nuts) and it actually tasted good. I also made homemade truffles. My mom found this super easy recipe and I had to try it out. Even though I need to work on their presentation ( they kind of looked like poop), but they tasted awesome!!! I am so proud of myself for trying to expand my horizons. And to top it all off, we had our first real snow too. It is highly uncommon for us to go this long without snow. We normally start getting it around October. So for us to go to Thanksgiving was awesome, but I do have to say it was nice seeing all the snow everywhere. It was so beautiful. Quinton and I are truly thankful for all the wonderful family that we have in our lives, and to have them so close. I know that Sydney's life is blessed even more because of all the loving Grandparents and all the rest of the family that she has so close to her. We could not of asked for better families.

Nonnie is here!!!

A couple of weeks ago Quinton's Grandma or Nonnie as she likes to be called came into town for a short visit. It was so wonderful to see her and I know Sydney was excited. The last time Nonnie saw Sydney was when she was about 2 weeks old. So a lot has changed since then. Even though Sydney only let nonnie hold her for about 5 min. total, it was a great time that we all spent as a family. Quinton's brother Ashley, his wife Bianca and their boys Addison and Aaron all came up to for the night. We even had a little jam session, Quinton's friend and band member Brian came up with his girlfriend Whitney as well. Even though it was a short visit the memories were great.
