It is a Miracle...

This is a very exciting post that I get to do today. Why, you ask? Our little girl is finally crawling. Yep, you read that right, she is crawling. Actually she started crawling while we were in Spain, so she was about 10 monhs old or about a months ago ( I guess she only wanted to crawl on Marble). It seemed like all of a sudden everything just clicked and she was crawling, pulling up on everything and now she even walks while holding on to just one hand now. So, needless to say our little Sydney is getting into EVERYTHING.. and I mean everything. Some would say it is about time since she is such an easy baby and I never had to correct her on anything. Sydney now has two bottom teeth, it is so cute. Her hair is finally coming in more, to the point where I can actually put it up in bows now. I love it!!! Quinton and I are just having a blast with all the fun stuff she is doing now like if you ask her what a puppy Say's she goes " woof woof", still calls me Mom, loves kitty's and puppies. Here is a little video of Sydney when she first started to crawl. Enjoy it.

We're Back!!!

Hi everyone or Hola. We actually have been back for about 2 weeks now, it is just been crazy since we have been back. Being on vacation for 3 weeks and trying to get everything back in order has been interesting. We had a absolute wonderful time in Spain, it truly looks like paradise and everyone that we met were so nice to us. We stayed with Quinton's good friend Marco and his family in their beautiful penthouse. For about the first week there we just relaxed and really did not do much. However, the second and third week we did tons and tons of stuff. We went to their swimming pool, beach, zoo, water park, Picasso Museum, and took a lot of day trips to little towns nearby.

One of things I love the most about Spain are their beautiful parks that are everywhere. It seems like on every corner there is another park. It is great and Sydney loved it even more. One of my favorite things that we did there was just spending time together as a family. Sydney loved to have her daddy around so much and needless to say, if she was not a daddy's girl before, she is now. Quinton is such a amazing father, he mostly took care of Sydney while we were there ( since it was my vacation too). However, by the end of 3 weeks I was ready to go back to how things used to be. I do have to say I have never been out to eat so much in my entire life... It was nice. We love this little town about 45 minutes away called Rhonda. It is probably one of the most beautiful little towns I have ever seen. Quinton and I went there twice since we loved it so much. Rhonda has the oldest bullring in Spain, it was beautiful in architecture however, we did not want to see any bullfighting. I think that would give Sydney and I nightmares. Some of the other towns we went to was Tarifa, Malaga, and Fuengirola.

I could go on forever talking about Spain and everything we did but I will just let everyone look at the pictures. It was an absolutely wonderful time that I got to spend with Quinton and Sydney. We all will have wonderful memories that we made and are thankful for all of the new friends we met there. Click one of the Albums to see most of our Pictures. Album 1. Album 2. Album 3

The rain in Spain....

Hey everybody or should I say Como estas?
Quinton and I are having a blast over here in Marbella Spain, the hot weather is absolutely wonderful and we love being near the ocean. Surprisingly, Sydney has adjusted better to the time change than we have. She loves the people that we have been staying with (which helps tremendously) and likes all the spanish baby food, wipes, diapers and formula. I think she is finally getting used to all the ladies speaking spanish to her, and now she just smiles back at them (even though she has no idea what they are saying). This vacation was very much needed since Quinton works like crazy, so it has been wonderful to see him constantly and just hang out.... heaven.
Unfortunately I dont have any pictures downloaded yet, but when we get home in a week or so I will have tons of pictures for everyone. Sydney now says puppy, kitty, and points to everything. She still is not crawling however, it is a little hard to crawl here since they all have marble floors... a little hard to crawl on. However, she loves (and I mean loves) to have someone hold her fingers and walk everywhere. If she could do that all day, she would. I think at the end of our trip we will be ready to come home. I thought I wouldnt say this but I really do miss the states .... or maybe just hearing english more than spanish. Anyways, we are having a wonderful time and miss all of our family and friends. See you soon.

Happy Birthday Quinton!!!

Yep, you read that right. Quinton had his 29th Birthday on Saturday. I cannot believe that he is already 29, it seems just like yesterday that he was 26 and we just met. Well Quinton woke up on Saturday just like any other day and he had to go to work down in the Springs. After he got home later that day we went out to Dinner then had to go and Drop Sydney off at our friends. Quinton and his Band " Head full of Zombies" were playing that night. So Cindy and I went and watched him play for a while. When he got home that night ( around 2:40 am) our friend Tiffany set up a our table with sparkling apple cider, Strawberries, cookies, muffins, ice, and plates. It was so cute and incredibly thoughtful of her. We really do have the best friends up here. But for his birthday Quinton got a new fishing rod, a nice flashlight, Gift Card to Kohl's, and a bed chair w/ massage. ...Not bad for 29. It was a great day and to top it all off Quinton had his little girl to celebrate with him. Sydney Loves her daddy so much and everyday he walks through the door at the end of the day she gets the biggest smile on her face. Happy Birthday Quinton and we love you!!! Yucky... Yogurt

Sydney does not like some of the Yogurt that we bought her. She disliked it so much she made these really funny faces. Naturally thinking it is funny I had to take a video of it. Enjoy!!!

It's been a while... and guess what

Well I have to apologize to everyone since it has been over month since I last updated our blog. Since we live up in the Mountains we only have really nice weather 3-4 months out of the year. So since our summers are so short I have been taking advantage of it and have been really busy. However our family is doing wonderful.

Sydney is growing so fast and at her last Dr. appointment she weighed 18 lbs and 26 1/2 inches long. She is definitely not our little girl anymore. I still cannot believe that she is about 9 1/2 months old now. She is growing and improving everyday. She now says Dad or Dadda, Mom and calls me Mom Mom, Babba, Whoa, Weee and Hi. It was the cutest thing. She also waves hello and goodbye, claps at everything ( especially if she did something really cool) and lifts her arms in above her head and says Weeee. It truly is amazing how fast they grow and develop. However, one thing she still does not do is crawl. Yep, she is a non crawling baby. She rolles everywhere and see's no point in crawling since she can roll wherever she wants. She is getting closer and we think she is going to walk before she crawls. She loves to have someone hold her fingers and she will walk everywhere. Sydney can also pull herself up to a standing position in the crib. That is probably the funniest thing she does because every time she pulles herself up she just gets the biggest belly laugh and just laughs at herself.
As for Quinton and I, we are doing wonderful. We are just having fun with our wonderful daughter and are thankful everyday that she is in our lives. Some exciting news that we have is... that Quinton, Sydney and I all get to go to Spain at the end of July and we are so excited to be there again. Quinton has a good friend that we visit and it will be wonderful to see him and his family again. Quinton also has people from his mission that he knew that also live there. So hopefully we will be able to see them too. It is truly an amazing and beautiful country and we cannot wait to show Sydney. So that means that Sydney now has her own passport and hopefully she will be okay traveling international. She is such an easy baby that we think she will be fine...but who knows. We will let you know. Well I hope this blog finds everyone well and I will try to update our blog a little more often. Click here for more pictures.

Durango, CO

For Memorial Weekend Quinton and I went down to Durango CO with his parents, Sis-in-law and nephews for a couple of days. It was so much fun just hanging out and relaxing with the family. Quinton's dad Rick normally is in the really big bike race but on the morning of the race we found out it got cancelled because of weather. So instead of being defeated we saw the good out of this situation and figured we just had more time to be together. Sydney actually did amazingly well for her first big road trip ( only 5 hours long), but she only got fussy the last hour so we really can not complain. Sydney also went swimming for the very first time and after getting use to the cold water she actually really liked it. We also walked around down town and really just hung out the entire weekend. It was a blast even though we did not see Rick race... well we always have next year. However, the overall weekend was a hit. Sydney did great ( besides being off on her schedule) and I even get some sun... yeah!!! We all hope you had as good of an Memorial weekend as we did. Click here for more pictures.

Overdue...

Here are some updated pictures of our life the past month or so. I know that I have been slacking on our blog and apologize for the delay. Like I said in an earlier post our life has been crazy and I have been taking pictures of it all, just not posting anything about our life. So I am sorry but hopefully these fun pictures will make up for it all. I hope all of our family and friends are doing well and hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Weekend.... we did!!! Mama, Dada and Baba

Sorry Everyone, I know that it has been a while since I last updated our blog. Lately our life has been so busy with church, work and just having a 7 month old. Sydney will actually be 8 months old on the 25th. She weighs 16 lbs and is 26 inches long. Yep, she is huge!!! And I love it. She now Say's Momma, Dada and lately Baba. She is rolling all around and I am starting to notice that our house is far from being "baby proof". It is amazing how she can find the smallest thing that she should not be playing with. She truly is the joy of our life. Here are some video's of Sydney saying "Dada" and Sydney doing her belly laugh. ENJOY!!!

Aaron's 1st B-day

Our little nephew Aaron just had his 1st Birthday. Well, actually Aaron is not little, he is huge, probably at leased twice the size of Sydney and way longer. Poor little Aaron still has no teeth and his hair is slowly coming in. He kind of reminds me of a little old man with no teeth and hair. Even though he has no teeth, that still does not stop him eating normal food, he just numbs is to death. We all gathered at Bianca and Ashley's ( Quinton's bro and sis in law) apartment. It was a great time just all hanging out with family. However, I think that Aaron had a better time with his birthday cake and all of his new clothes and toys. It was a great day and Happy Birthday Aaron.... WE love you!!! Click here for more pictures.

A Whole new world...

Yep, my little princess is a big girl. Sydney had baby food for the very first time last week. After much deliberation I choose for her to try carrots first. And boy I was right, she LOVES carrots. So much that when I first go to feed her if I do not go fast enough she starts to shake her hands like crazy. It really is cute ( just sounds weird). So far Sydney likes carrots over sweet potatoes, and I am sure my mom is thrilled. In addition to eating baby food Sydney also can sit up by herself. This is just a new thing ( within the last couple of days). She is still a little wobbly but day by day she is getting better and better. This has been a very big month for Sydney so far. Also, I just started to teach her sign language, only a few words at first like Mommy, Daddy, Eat and Drink. I read that babies can actually sign back to you as early as 7 months... so we will see what happens. Quinton and I are just so proud of our little girl and all the accomplishments she has conquered. Happy Easter

Happy Belated Easter to everyone!!! Sorry that it has been a while since I have updated our blog. Needless to say life is never boring when you are a mother. We had a wonderful Easter though. Quinton and I have a tradition to dye Easter eggs the night before and we remembered that we forgot to do that so at 11pm Saturday night Quinton and I dyed Easter eggs, it was a fun night. On Sunday morning we had our little Easter egg hunt for each other( with the eggs we dyed the night before) and see what the Easter bunny brought for everyone. Sydney got a cute little bunny that says " My first Easter bunny" with 2008 on the foot. She loves it so much that she sleeps with it every night and even naps with it too. Quinton got a nice tie and some peeps ( he loves peeps) then we all went to church in our Easter outfits. Sydney had this really cute outfit that her Nana bought for her from Gymboree ( it was so cute on her). Later that afternoon we went over to Quinton's parents house and had Easter dinner with his whole family. It was a great day spending it with family and friends. Even though I think Sydney really didn't know what was going on she had a great first Easter. She looked extra beautiful that day. Click here for more pictures.
