16 Months old

Can you all believe it. Our little girl is 16 months old. Where does the time go? Sydney is the joy of our lives, she is continually changing everyday. She talks all the time to us at home, however, it is not necessarily the same thing out in public. It is wonderful to have actual conversations with her. She can tell us ( for the most part) what she wants. She still loves dogs and continues to bark anytime she See's one or hears one. She loves to play hide and go seek, being chased by us makes her run and scream like crazy. She also loves to sing and dance ( yes our little girl can shake her booty). She is very much a girl that she loves to wear shoes ( yes, she still brings the shoes to me), loves to wear jewelry, tries to put make-up on when she See's me doing it and loves to brush her hair. Yes, she is girl through and through. She still is a major daddy's girl and know she can get practically anything she wants from Quinton. And for those starring and glarring looks she gives people practically every time she See's someone, well lets just say she is still doing that. Here are some recent pictures of our little girl. Enjoy!!!

The cutest smile you will ever see

Please Mom, no pictures!!!!

The glare we love so much!!!

My little fashion Model

Our little girl Sydney is growing up to fast, she is already 16 months old... and we do not like it one bit. She talks our ear off ( mostly only at home) and laughs and plays all day. She is such a happy little girl. We love our little Sydney so much. Lately she likes to try and dress herself. One particular day while still wearing her P.J's she wanted to wear her diaper covers on her head and these really cute shoes that she has. As you may already tell she has a fashion forward sense. This is what resulted in her decisions..

A small Confesion...

As most you know I am not a huge reader. Well to put it bluntly I don't like to read at all. So when Quinton gave me a book for Christmas ( sort of a joke, sort of not), I think he was trying to tell me he wants me to read. What is this book that he gave me you ask? Twilight. So when after Quinton and I saw the movie, it got me curious and so I started to read the book. To make a long story short, I read all 4 of the Twilight Series books in 2 weeks. Yes, all 2,444 pages I read in 2 weeks. They actually were really really good. Quinton was so happy and proud of me. Even to the point where he has finished "Twilight" and is now reading "New Moon". I can not say if i will continue to always read like this, but it was a fun experience. I can not wait till the movie "New moon" come out in November!!!

Cousins and New years

Happy New Year!!! Well it is a little late but at lease I said it. The weekend after Christmas my cousin David came down from Arizona for a little visit. Actually they were here in Colorado because Erin my cousins wife's family lives in Denver. So for a day we where able to see them. It was so wonderful to see them again. It probably has been about a year and a half. Erin is pregnant and is due in February. She is so cute and we can not wait till we see their little girl. She is going to be beautiful. Also that night was one of my best friend's wedding.... Liz!!! She married the most perfect guy for her. TJ is awesome and I am so happy for them both. It truly was a special day.

For New Years Eve, we had our friends Justin, Tiffany and their daughter Avery over. We had a great dinner, watched a movie while snacking on fruit and fondue. Sydney and Avery love playing together. It really is one of the cutest things you have ever seen. They especially loved playing on Sydney new sofa that she got for Christmas. Unfortantly, since we both had children, neither one of us stayed up till midnight. Unfortunately our daughters do not know that it would be nice to sleep in, but either way they will be waking up early in the morning. The next day my parents came up to Woodland Park for breakfast, we all went to the Hungry Bear ( you gotta love all the little mom and pop stores in small towns). The food was great... as always and the company was even better. We hope that we will be having a great time this year.

Merry Christmas!!!!

Well a belated Merry Christmas at leased. Sorry about the delay everyone. However, I think many people can say that the Holiday season is a crazy and hectic season. We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Sydney was more into it then last year ( it is a little hard to be in Christmas when you are only 3 months old). She was trying to open the presents and started to get pretty good at it by the end of the day. We got Sydney a new Flip-open sofa. She loves it!!! It is big enough that her best friend Avery and her can fit on it together at the same time. It is so cute to watch them sit on the sofa and read their books together. Sydney also got some more toys, 4 new baby dolls (all different kinds), some books and most of all Clothes. She even got 4 more pairs of shoes, so this all adds up to 20 pairs of shoes that fit Sydney right now. Yep you all read that right, 20 pairs of shoes. And do not be mistaken by her small appearance, Sydney loves shoes. So much that to the point where she will bring me a pair of matching shoes everyday for me to put them on for her. It is so cute. That is one thing I can say she did get from me. The love of shoes. When I was little I used to do the same thing to my mom.

Quinton also had a great Christmas. Just having him home was a treat enough for Sydney and I. Quinton got lots of tools and a cool took box for work, and lots of clothes, both were needed. And as for me you ask? I got the book twilight, gift cards ( which I asked for) and most of all a new Camera!!!! It is so beautiful. Some of you might think that by me saying a camera is beautiful is strange, well not in my world. I have a love for photography and needed a new smaller digital camera. So this adds up to 4 camera's that I have. Some people collect books, music, movies I collect camera's. I truly love it and Quinton did a awesome job of picking it out all on his own. Thanks honey, I love you tons!!!

Our Christmas was a wonderful one, full of laughter, love and most of all family. Quinton and I are so blessed to have both of our parents so close to each other. It truly does make our life wonderful. We hope everyone had a great Christmas and hope that we all keep Christmas in our hearts all year long!!!

My sweet little girl

One of my favorite things about Sydney is her adorable laugh ( I think that most parents would agree in saying that their kids laugh is the best sound in the world). However, Sydney's laugh can make any day a better day. One particular day she was extra giggly, so naturally I had to take a video. I hope you all enjoy this video of our little girl. Happy Holiday's

For my Birthday present Quinton took me to see the Transiberian Orchrestra ( actually it was my 4th time seeing them. I love them!!!). Then on my actual birthday Quinton and I went out to a nice restaurant and saw a movie. It was wonderful just to have time to ourselves, even though Sydney was dearly missed. It was such a wonderful night that I got to spend with my wonderful husband who I love so much. Thanks Quinton, you are the best.

Montgomery Look-alike Meter

MyHeritage: Look-alike Meter - Geneology - Roots

Sweet Carolina...

As some of you know Quinton is very modest about how good of a guitar player he is. He is so awesome and he really does not like me to put video's of him playing for some reason. However, I am very proud of my husband and all of his accomplishments. So here is a video of Quinton playing with his friend Brian, they are play the song "Sweet Carolina" by Ryan Adams. It is one of my favorite songs that he plays. Here is a little tid bit... hope you all enjoy it.

Orange things and What's that?

So our little girl is now 14 months old. She is no longer a baby but turning into a little girl. Her favorite thing to say right now is "What's that?". And she Say's it all day everyday to everything. I do have to say it is cute however, after hearing like the 200Th "what's that" it can get a little old. Here is a sample of a conversation that we have with Sydney countless times a day
Sydney- What's that?
Mom/Dad- the tree
Sydney- Wow...
I love how she says wow after we tell her what it is. And for those people that have noticed that Sydney has sorta of a orange glow about her, you are not miss taken. She already has beautiful olive colored skin, however, since she loves carrots, squash ( orange things) and have eaten them so much for so long. Her skin is orange. The really funny thing is that my mom also has orange skin because she juices carrots every morning. We are just a orange family. The orange is not harmful in anyway for those who where wondering, and it will eventually fade away. But our little girl is growing and developing everyday. She loves puppies and now is not afraid of them and will pet them and tell them to sit. It is so cute. Sydney is the joy in our lives, she truly is such a happy little girl.

Happy Thanksgiving

We all hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving... we did. This year Quinton and I went to his parents house for Thanksgiving. It was a great time that we all had, for the first time I made stuffing ( well Stove top with cranberries, apples and nuts) and it actually tasted good. I also made homemade truffles. My mom found this super easy recipe and I had to try it out. Even though I need to work on their presentation ( they kind of looked like poop), but they tasted awesome!!! I am so proud of myself for trying to expand my horizons. And to top it all off, we had our first real snow too. It is highly uncommon for us to go this long without snow. We normally start getting it around October. So for us to go to Thanksgiving was awesome, but I do have to say it was nice seeing all the snow everywhere. It was so beautiful. Quinton and I are truly thankful for all the wonderful family that we have in our lives, and to have them so close. I know that Sydney's life is blessed even more because of all the loving Grandparents and all the rest of the family that she has so close to her. We could not of asked for better families.

Nonnie is here!!!

A couple of weeks ago Quinton's Grandma or Nonnie as she likes to be called came into town for a short visit. It was so wonderful to see her and I know Sydney was excited. The last time Nonnie saw Sydney was when she was about 2 weeks old. So a lot has changed since then. Even though Sydney only let nonnie hold her for about 5 min. total, it was a great time that we all spent as a family. Quinton's brother Ashley, his wife Bianca and their boys Addison and Aaron all came up to for the night. We even had a little jam session, Quinton's friend and band member Brian came up with his girlfriend Whitney as well. Even though it was a short visit the memories were great.
